About Us
Zen Clinical Research Unit (ZenCRU) was founded to bridge the gap between cutting-edge science and the people it is meant to serve. Rooted in a long-standing general practice in the West Rand, we combine clinical and research experience with a deep understanding of community healthcare.
Our commitment is to ethical, human-centred research. Participants are not just data points, they are partners in advancing medicine, and we ensure every person is informed, supported, and respected.
With robust infrastructure, a large and diverse patient base, and expertise across multiple therapeutic areas, ZenCRU delivers reliable, high-quality results that sponsors and CROs can trust.
Our vision is to be a collaborative site of choice, contributing to global progress while improving access and outcomes for local communities.
Why Zen?
Zen reflects the essence of how we choose to conduct clinical research: with clarity, balance and human-centred focus.
The clinical trial landscape is fast-paced, and frequently prioritises science and its accompanying results, above the human experience. We believe that it is possible, and necessary, to not compromise one for the other. We choose to combine scientific rigor with compassion, precision with calm, and progress with purpose. We choose to be mindful in our operational practices.
